Synopsis
In the dying days of the old west, an elderly sheriff and his posse set out to rescue their town's doctor from cannibalistic cave dwellers.
Review
With a superb cast led by Kurt Russell (The Thing), no less, comes a genre mash up to rule them all. Bone Tomahawk is both western adventure and horror.Written and directed with showstopping style by S. Craig Zahler (Brawl in Cell Block 99) with a cast including everyone from Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring) to Sid Haig (House of 1000 Corpses), Bone is a slow burn from the start. Some of the town folk of peaceful Bright Hope have been kidnapped and taken into the hills by a group of known cannibals.
What follows is a trip to hell.
Both beautifully shot and brutally violent, this is a surefire hit for anyone who loves horror - if you don't, but you're a western fan, you may be unpleasantly surprised.
An Outstanding watch.
