Odd Thomas Horror Movie ReviewDirected by Stephen Sommers (The Mummy) and written by Dean Koontz, Odd Thomas is an outstanding little film. Odd fights evil in a small town, supported by the sheriff, in what, I certainly assumed, was going to be a horror film very similar to stellar-popular TV show, Supernatural. I was wrong, in that while it has similarities to that sort of show it is in fact, much closer in spectacle to a Marvel movie, MCU style.

Starring the late (and very much missed) Anton Yelchin (Green Room) with a supporting role from Willem Dafoe (John Wick), Odd Thomas is less horror, more supernatural action. It's damn fine fun too.

Sadly, it didn't seem to appeal to mainstream audiences when it came out, and with the passing of  Yelchin it didn't get the sequel - or indeed TV spinoff - it clearly aimed towards at the climax, and definitely deserved.

If you're looking for horror, perhaps try elsewhere, but fans of superhero films and fast, fun action flicks should definitely try this out.
